About Mountain View Pet Care

Darcy C. Smith, RN, BSN
Owner & Manager

Darcy Smith is the owner and hands-on manager of Mountain View Pet Care in Limestone, Tennessee. With over 20 years of experience raising, training, and grooming dogs, she brings a lifetime of skill and dedication to every aspect of her work.

Darcy’s journey with animals began when she was just 12 years old, serving as a puppy raiser for The Seeing Eye in Morristown, New Jersey. That early experience sparked a lifelong passion for canine behavior, obedience, and the human–animal bond.

In addition to managing Mountain View Pet Care, Darcy is a professional breeder and handler, operating under Mount Bethel Poodles and Mt. Bethel Lagotti, where she raises and shows Poodles and Lagotti Romagnoli with a focus on health, temperament, and breed excellence.

Darcy is also an experienced dog groomer and conformation handler, known for her gentle touch and commitment to helping every pet look and feel their best. With a professional background in nursing (RN, BSN) and a heart for service, Darcy combines compassion, precision, and experience to ensure that every animal entrusted to Mountain View Pet Care receives exceptional care.

Favorite part of the job:

“Helping dogs feel confident, happy, and loved — whether they’re here for a bath, a boarding stay, or just a little extra attention.”

Nicole,

Kennel Attendant

Nicole joined Mountain View Pet Care with a deep love for animals and a strong background in both animal care and customer service. Her experience includes working at Petworks Animal Shelter, Barkbound Dog Daycare, and in veterinary and hospitality settings, where she developed exceptional attention to detail and a calm, caring approach to every animal she meets.

At Mountain View Pet Care, Nicole ensures that every dog and cat feels safe, comfortable, and loved during their stay. Whether she’s cleaning, feeding, or taking time for a gentle cuddle, her compassion shines through in everything she does.

Nicole is also trained in CPR and AED, and she takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for all pets in our care.

When she’s not working, Nicole enjoys spending time outdoors, caring for her own pets, and exploring new ways to learn about animal behavior and grooming.

Austin,

Assistant to the manager

Austin joined Mountain View Pet Care after being spotted doing exactly what comes naturally to him — helping dogs in need. One day, he stopped to assist animal control officers who were struggling to safely catch two loose German Shepherds near Washington College Academy. His patience, calm nature, and genuine care for the dogs made an immediate impression.

That same compassion and dedication now shine through in his work every day. Austin is a kind-hearted and reliable member of our team, known for his gentle handling, strong work ethic, and steady presence around both dogs and cats. Whether he’s cleaning, feeding, or giving extra attention to nervous boarders, Austin’s goal is always the same — to make every pet feel safe, loved, and cared for.

Noah,

Kennel Attendant

Welcome Noah Brown to the Mountain View Pet Care team! 🐾
Noah joins us as a Kennel Attendant. He’s a student at Tusculum University and part of a discipleship group that meets weekly for Bible study. Originally from Mountain City, TN, Noah has two dogs at home—a Chocolate Lab and a Dachshund—and says leaving them for college inspired him to work with animals. He enjoys seeing each pet’s unique joy and excitement and looks forward to learning more about how to properly care for them. We’re thrilled to have his kind heart, positive attitude, and strong communication skills on our team!
